[The original official copy sent to John Tomlinson, Agent of the Colony, as the best proof of the necessity of New Hampshire requiring a separate Governor and their inability to agree with Belcher. It must have been very galling to Belcher to have been obliged to sign and seal with the grand seal of the Province a document so much against his own interests, containing as it does several passages contrary to his administration and praying Tomlinson to endeavour to have a new Governor appointed.— Catalogue.] 1749 New Jersey.
