God's Readiness to Answer Prayer.

Is there no friend to soothe our woe,
Or check the ills we bear?
Sufferer! look up from earth below,
And call on God in prayer!

Then, call on God, thou child of dust;
Flee from each earthly snare.
Wait but His will; His mercy trust;
And He shall hear thy prayer."

PRAYER.

GOD'S READINESS TO ANSWER PRAYER.

Almighty and everlasting God, our Heavenly Father, who forgivest all our iniquities, who healest all our diseases, who redeemest our lives from destruction, who crownest us with loving kindness and tender mercies; who art good and ready to forgive, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee; we cast all our care upon Thee who carest for us. Hast Thou not told us that, where two or three are gathered together in Thy name, there Thou art in the midst of them: that, before they call, Thou wilt answer; and that while they are yet speaking, Thou wilt hear? We draw nigh to Thee, O Lord; and we ask Thee to grant us Thy Holy Spirit. We ask Thee to supply all our need, according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Feed us, Lord, with the bread of Life. Forgive our sins; receive our prayers; and, when we come to die, receive our souls, for Jesus Christ's sake.

AMEN.

"FERVENT IN SPIRIT; SERVING THE LORD. CONTINUING INSTANT IN PRAYER."

Almighty God, Lord of Heaven and earth; we come boldly, in the name of Jesus Christ, unto Thy Throne of Grace. Thou art our God, and we will thank Thee. Thou art our God, and we will praise Thee. Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be, now and always, acceptable unto Thee, O Lord, our strength and our Redeemer.

We approach Thee, O God, through the Blood of Jesus, in the full assurance of faith. We ask for all the blessings which Thou seest we need, in the Name of Him whom Thou hearest always; and who hath, even Himself, told us, "Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you." Send home, blessed Lord, Thy Word with power to the hearts of all who hear it. Lord Jesus! Thou art the Bread of Life. Thou art, at all times, our refuge from guilt, our rest in trouble. We come to Thee, then, pleading only Thine own most gracious words," Him that cometh to Me, I will in no wise cast out." AMEN.
