Therefore the Directory, among other ar-
ticles, ordered that the consular and diplo-
matic agents who resided at the goverr-
ment of fiamburg, should forthwith leave
that city and territory.—That a general
embargo should be laid upon all ships and
vessels carrying Hamburg colours, and
that were then in the ports of the republic.
