HEREFORDSHIRE.

The cumberfome brick building which ferved for the purposes of a weighing machine and guard-houfe, and which stood at the top of St. Owen-ftreet, in Hereford, has been lately removed by the fubfcription of a few public fpirited individuals, and a neat octagon white ftone building has been erected in its ftead. It has effected a striking improvement in the general appearance of the street, and, as fuch, reflects the highest credit on the first promoters of the plan.
